बीजेपी सांसद और भारतीय कुश्ती महासंघ के अध्यक्ष बृजभूषण शरण सिंह का देश के जाने माने पहलवान लगातार विरोध कर रहे हैं. 28 मई को दिल्ली पुलिस ने पहलवानों को हिरासत में लिया जिसके बाद सभी पहलवानों ने अपने अपने मैडल को हरिद्वार में गंगा में बहाने का फैसला किया. इसी बीच सपा के राष्ट्रीय महासचिव शिवपाल सिंह यादव ने पहलवानों का समर्थन किया लेकिन बृजभूषण के सवालों पर बचते नजर आए

On May 28, the Delhi Police detained the wrestlers, after which all the wrestlers decided to throw their respective medals in the Ganges at Haridwar. Meanwhile, SP’s National General Secretary Shivpal Singh Yadav supported the wrestlers but was seen avoiding Brij Bhushan’s questions.
