जब घोसी में सब हार-जीत रहे थे तब अखिलेश यादव मज़ा ले रहे थे। उन्होंने ट्विटर पर कई तस्वीरो के साथ अपना भावनाये प्रकट करी. इसके बाद जब नतीजे सामने आए तो समाजवादी पार्टी के उम्मीदवार सुधाकर सिंह ने भाजपा के दारा सिंह चौहान को 42 हजार से ज्यादा वोटों से हरा दिया है. 33 राउंड के चले इस मतगणना में बीजेपी उम्मीदवार दारा सिंह चौहान को 81, 668 हजार वोट मिले. वहीं सपा प्रत्याशी सुधाकर सिंह को 1,24,427 वोट मिले हैं. इसी के साथ सपा इस सीट को बचाने में कामयाब रही
